Hello Advising Community,
First, want to thank you all for actively participating in the table discussions that we had at our last all-advising community training. Ideally, it was a good way to not only share best practices, but to also voice concerns and challenges.
It also allowed an opportunity to network with others outside our advising teams. Finally, it was a good way for leadership to get a pulse on where we were at as one, big unit.
Some themes came out of the discussions, and the first attachment lists them.
As a result of the conversations, we realized that though folks were using the same terminology, some of us were understanding them differently. During a subsequent director’s meeting, a list of terms were provided to ensure that we were
on the same page. The second handout reflects those terms.
For those of us who are visual learners, the third handout is a flowchart that visually incorporates the lingo and illustrates the scenarios that we would count toward our percentage of completion.
Though we are almost at the end of our Review and Connect Campaign timeline, we still have a few more weeks to go until the time frame is over. Hopefully this email and the attachments can help us move forward in synchrony.
Have a good one!
