Subject: Before First Day of Class Withdrawal Change
All,
There has been a
slight change in how students drop all their classes before school begins. Currently, there are two ways a student can remove all courses and receive a 100% refund. (1) drop all classes one by one on ASAP which results in an EL code with DC for all
the classes (2) click the withdrawal button which results in a WS code and WS for all classes. Option 2 was causing an error in how students were reported to the National Student Clearinghouse which could result in an audit finding. Option 2 was also making
a student run into difficulties if they changed their mind and wanted to re-register.
Now, option 1 is the only option.
I have attached a guide (if you withdraw a student from the desktop). ASAP has also been changed (see below). After the first day of class, then we start using the WS code and
students hit the withdrawal button.
