It is with great pleasure that I welcome Ms. Angelica Barrera to UTSA as our new Executive Director of Advising, beginning February 1, 2017. Ms. Barrera joins us from Texas State University where she served as the Director of the PACE Advising
Center, which received the 2016 NACADA Outstanding Advising Model Program Award. Ms. Barrera’s extensive experience in academic advising and leadership development will aid us in implementing our student success initiatives and reaching our student success
goals.
