Subject: TRC Expert Learner Series Workshops for fall 2015

Good afternoon,

I wanted to take a moment to remind you of the services the TRC Learning Assistance program has to offer your students. First, we offer workshops every fall and spring semesters. Attached you will find the flyer for our fall 2015 Expert Learner Series. Please post in your advising centers and share with your students. These workshops are group workshops that address common challenges students face, such as, time management, note-taking, overcoming test anxiety, and more. No registration is needed. Students just show up and learn skills that will help them to be better prepared as students.

Second, we offer Academic Coaching as a one-on-one study skills assistance. Students make appointments with our professional coaches. Together, the student and coach determine what study skills work best for each student based on their strengths and needs. Please encourage your students not to wait to make appointments. During peak times of the semester, a new student may have to wait up to 2 weeks to make an appointment.
