Good afternoon,
It was brought to my attention that the petition form was creating a message block on the signature line when you clicked on the line that wasn’t working properly.  Attached is a corrected PDF version of the form so you don’t receive this message block.  Please delete the older version and use this one.
Thanks to James Gerhardt and Shannon Rios for catching and resolving this issue so quickly.  The revised form will be posted on the website site and blackboard later today.

Subject: 30/45 hour petitions

Good morning everyone,
I’m emailing to provide some updates concerning the 30/45 hour petitions.  Dr. Martin, Amy Gomez and I met in late January to discuss some issues.  As a result of that meeting, the form has been revised to ask “Remaining SCH for the graduation in the current major”, which should including the hours for a minor if the student completing one, instead of  “Remaining SCH for the degree in current major”.  I have attached a copy of the revised form, a copy of the form with some arrows with key reminders and the notes Amy took at the meeting.

Also, there is a job run nightly that sends the email to the students informing them they will be charged the excess fees.  The email currently does not indicate the term that the charge will be effective so a programming request has been summited so it informs the student of the effective term.
In SPACMNT, when a student’s residency code is updated on SGASTDN due to the 30/45 credit hour limitation, the student is sent an email and a comment is placed on SPACMNT.  This comment includes the term code for which the higher tuition rate is effective.
