My name is Emily Hemmitt, I have a Master's in Sociology and my life's passion is community building. I previously lived in New
York City for 4 years, where I worked, lived, and studied in one of the world's largest cultural hubs. I am a UTSA alumni and a proud first-generation college graduate! I am very excited to bring my talents and experiences back to my alma mater. I love biking,

Meet Derek Kubacki Academic Advising Unit: Downtown
Derek was born at Ft Knox, KY into a military family and grew up from base to base until he joined the Army
in Fayetteville, NC; the town he now calls home. Following a 22+ year career in the Army as a flight medic, he continued in the medical field as an ER Tech in Floresville, TX. He obtained his BA in History from Texas A&M University - San Antonio and his MA
