Good afternoon,

Wanted to clear up questions on what was sent out on behalf of the Math Department.

If a student meets 1.)requisites for either course and 2.)there is seat availability, you may an S1 override

Please work with your director as they may have streamlined the process within the units.

Best,

Angie

Subject: department code added to MAT 1053 and MAT 1073 sections

Dainon,

Can you please pass this message on to relevant Advising Centers?

Thanks,

Sandy

Due to some pedagogical experimentation with our Math Matters courses, we are imposing a departmental permission code for anyone wishing to add into certain sections of MAT 1053 and MAT 1073. The purpose of this is to maintain, as much as possible, the compositional integrity of the sections as they now stand. That is, we don’t want students moving from one section to another. The departmental code should prevent that.

However, there are a few students who will be late registering for either 1053 or 1073 and they can be permitted to enroll with a simple override of the code.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best,

Sandy
