Subject: Free Event for Your Students: Health Professions Week

If you are advising STEM students, we hope that you will share the following information:

Health Professions Week (HPW) is a week-long event for college students interested in learning about careers in the health professions. It’s completely free and your students are invited!

Health Professions Week

November 6 – 10, 2017

Monday: Keynote by Dr. Kameron Matthews

Tuesday: Online Treasure Hunt

Wednesday: Live Virtual Fair

Thursday: Community Connect Day

Friday: A Day In the Life

HPW is a unique opportunity for students interested in a career in the health professions to explore over 20 diverse, rewarding professions. Encourage your students to register now to learn about (in alphabetical order): anesthesiologist assistant, audiology and speech-language pathology, chiropractic, dental professions, health administration, medicine, naturopathic medicine, nursing, nurse anesthetists, occupational therapy, optometry, orthotics and prosthetics, osteopathic medicine, pharmacology, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, podiatric medicine, public health, social work, and veterinary medicine.

By registering, students will have the opportunity to talk with practitioners, discover educational pathways, and have the chance to win prizes like one of five $1,000 educational scholarships from Sallie Mae!

If you have questions about Health Professions Week or any of the events, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Kind regards,

-Becky Rice
