Good afternoon all,

I am excited to announce that Cynthia Rodriguez will be joining UTSA’s LEAD Student Success initiative as Program Manager starting on January 2, 2018. As many of you know, Cynthia is currently serving as the Director of the Life and Health Sciences Advising Center, and for many years was the Director of the TRC Academic Development Program which was a program similar to LEAD. Cynthia comes with 19 years of higher education experience and extensive knowledge that includes working with underrepresented/at-risk students, implementing and overseeing outreach programs, collaborating with campus constituents, and assessment & evaluation. Cynthia’s role will include assisting with the continued establishment of the LEAD program and will teach the Academic Inquiry and Scholarship courses starting fall 2018.

I look forward to all the contributions and leadership Cynthia will bring to the LEAD Student Success program.
