Subject: Earth Week Sensitive Document Shredding Services
As part of Earth Week, the Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management Department will be providing shredding services for all of our UTSA Community thanks to The Green Fund. This service will be held on April 21, 2016 between the
hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot between HUC and Ximenes Avenue Garage. Ranger Shredding Inc. will be providing this service and shredding will take place on-site. Also, if anyone has personal documents at work
or from home and would like them shredded, have them bring them in. Please pass this information to all and hope to see you all there.
For Downtown Campus, our vehicle will be parked on the Durango Building Service Ramp, at the top of the ramp, at 11:00 a.m. so that folks can bring their sensitive documents over. We prefer that folks bring their documents to us as we
will be limited on time. As soon as we pull up to the location at the Durango Building, we will start loading up all the boxes that were brought to the Mail Room in advance as well as those waiting for us.
Because we have to visit the loading dock to the ITC, we will have to leave DT Campus no later than 11:45 a.m. If Monterey Building folks have a large amount of boxes with sensitive documents to shred, we will go ahead and pick them up
at the main front entrance to MB prior to our departure to ITC. I just need to know if we are going to need to visit MB.
Please box your documents and seal them, we will make one trip to each location to pick them up between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. If you prefer to take your sensitive documents early and not miss the pickup, you can deliver them to DT
Mail Room and they will store them inside their secured fence.
*Employees need to understand the Record Retention schedule so important docs are not shredded.
