The Alvarez Pre-Ph.D. Pathway / Business Research Track
prepares students to become competitive candidates for careers in business and top Ph.D. programs. The pathway courses are taught seminar-style by distinguished faculty from the Alvarez College of Business, ranked among the Top 100 business research
universities in the United States. Students taking the introductory course (GBA 3013 / GBA 6013) during Spring Semester 2024 are invited to attend The PhD Project’s 30th annual conference in Chicago, IL and join a supportive network of academic
peers and faculty across the nation. As part of the Pathway, you will gain access to unique Ph.D. Success Clinics, Faculty Mentors, and be able to present your own business research. Undergraduates must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA or above and instructor approval
is required for registration. Please contact
Claudia.Ortiz@utsa.edu and receive a link where you can submit your resume and statement of interest (up to 500 words max). In order to receive notification before Spring Registration opens for priority groups on Oct. 30th, submit materials in
advance. An informational session will be held at the Alvarez College of Business Student Success Center on Wednesday, October 18th at 2:30pm.
