Hello Dr Quinn

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

The project is one that I have been working on for years. Last semester there was a team in Dr DeLaVina’s class where we generated a formal business paln. They were not however interested in pursuing it this semester, a little disappointing. The current class and team is composed of both grad and undergrads, so I am hoping that would allow us to get our foot in the door for both grad and undergrads.

The I Corps would be very helpful for us, who do I apply for that?

Do you happen to have a list of other competitions for VC or other funding opportunities?

For that matter, I could use some critical assessment of this device. I of course think it is a great idea, but perhaps it should be formally evaluated. There is no sense in putting in more time, energy, ,and self-funding if it is not a viable and marketable invention/innovation.

Hi, Dr. Edenhoffer—thanks for reaching out.

The $100K competition is typically for undergraduates. That and the need for a prototype are what differentiate it from the Big Rowdy Idea Competition which we ran in the Fall.

Would the team competing be comprised of undergrads?

If not, had you considered the NSF I-Corps cohort we’re getting ready to run in March? While that’s not a competition per se, it does help immensely in getting a venture started off right.
