It is our pleasure to announce the addition of three new staff members to the UTSA Academic Advising Team. Briana Garcia and Tabitha
McDaniel join our team as new Academic Advisor Is. Briana will be assisting students in Life and Health Sciences and Tabitha will assist students in Business Studies. Christian Hernandez joins our team as the new Customer Service Supervisor and will be assisting
us in our Call Center. All three begin today, Monday, June 13th. Please help us welcome Briana, Tabitha, and Christian to the UTSA Academic Advising team using Kudoboard.

Hello! My name is Briana Garcia and I am thrilled to be part of the UTSA Academic Advising Team!
I’m originally from San Benito, which is located in the Rio Grande Valley in deep south Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley in 2020 with a BS in Psychology. I worked
at the Health and Biomedical Sciences department while working on achieving my BS. I’m a first-generation student in my family therefore I have a strong passion for assisting others in achieving their educational and professional goals. I enjoy binge-watching
a good show, playing golf, cooking/baking new recipes, and spending quality time with my loved ones. I’m a fur-mom to two dogs, Leia and Luke, who enjoy going on hikes and afternoon walks. Once again, thank you for this opportunity and I’m excited to work

Hello! My name is Tabatha McDaniel, and I am excited to be part of the UTSA Advising family! I’m originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I graduated from University of Phoenix in 2016 with my Master’s
in Business Administration. I have worked in Advising and Career Development for six plus years. I recently worked as an Academic Advisor at Southwestern Illinois College, I’m also an author and an online boutique owner. I am a military spouse with five children:
two young men and three stepdaughters. In my free time, I like to roller skate, binge-watch movies, and travel but what I am passionate about is helping others. |

Greetings! My name is Christian Hernandez and I’m delighted to join the Academic Advising team. I was born and raised here in San Antonio. I first graduated from UTSA in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in
Psychology. When the world locked down, I took the opportunity to continue my education at UTSA and in 2021 I graduated with a Master’s of Science in Business. Recently I was part of the opening team of the Marriott San Antonio Airport and worked as a front
desk associate where I assessed the needs of our guests and provided the proper solutions. Prior to that, during my graduate studies I worked at Northside Independent School District, working with teachers, students, and parents alike. During my undergraduate
studies I worked here at UTSA with Learning Technologies assisting professors and fellow university students. I’ve always enjoyed an academic setting so I’m glad to be back with UTSA. Part of my hobbies include photography, drawing, gaming and table-top with
