Email sent Friday evening to 321 UTSA Students with Residence Code B:
On Tuesday, September 5th, Attorney General Sessions announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is being eliminated.
They are no longer accepting first-time applications for DACA. However, some
prior DACA recipients may be allowed to renew their status.
In collaboration with RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services), UTSA is hosting clinics on Saturday, September 23rd for UTSA students to renew
their DACA applications before the deadline.
At the RAICES DACA clinic, DACA recipients who are eligible to renew under the new administration guidelines will be assisted in completing their applications.
You MUST pre-register for the clinic and will be contacted by RAICES to be pre-screened. Students can pre-register at http://bit.ly/utsaDACA or
in person at UTSA on September 12th from 3 – 7 pm in the University Center Willow Room – UC 2.02.12 (to the left of the Retama Auditorium.)
For more information please contact RAICES at 210.222.0964.
