Advisors,
Happy Orientation season! This is your friendly reminder that
ALL students are invited to participate in Music ensembles each semester. They do not need an override and may register for the courses via ASAP. Marching Band (MUS 3801) especially relies on non-Music majors each fall.
The following are the most popular ensembles:
Instruments -
MUS 3801 Marching Band (different sections for wind or percussion players)
MUS 3831/3832/3833 Principal Concert ensembles:
Section 006 - University Band (wind and percussion players)
Section 003 - Orchestra (string players)
Students may enroll in the course number that aligns with the number of credits they desire to earn.
MUS 3771 Jazz Ensemble
Instruments & Voice -
MUS 3711 Mariachi
Voice -
MUS 4581 – University Chorus
Many small instrument ensembles are under MUS 4581. Students may register and participate, but please encourage them to follow up with the School of Music for further instructions.
