Justin and our 10-year-old tabby cat Kendra. In 2021, Justin and I will celebrate our 10-year anniversary! I received my BA from Texas State University, my M.Ed from Angelo State University and I am currently working on my Ed.D at Abilene Christian University
and hope to graduate in Winter 2021. I have four years’ experience as an Academic Advisor, so I look forward to continuing my career in advising, learning, and growing here at UTSA. In my spare time, I enjoy reading mystery books (especially those with cats),
watching TV and movies, playing video and board games, and spending time with family and friends.

Cathy is a proud UTSA alumna, originally from Mission, TX. She received her BA in English from UTSA in 2015, and her Master of Arts in English – Linguistics from University of Texas Rio
Grande Valley in 2020. She has worked in various student support positions throughout the past 6 years. She is passionate about social justice and helping people realize their potential to achieve their goals. She is currently living in College Station, TX
