Good afternoon Dreamer allies,

First and foremost, on behalf of the Dreamers Resource Center, I would like to thank you for supporting our Dreamers and undocumented students across UTSA. As you might already know, the current circumstances we live in can prove to be a roller coaster of emotions and experiences. Nevertheless, our UTSA Dreamers and undocumented students are a resilient group. Year after year, they have demonstrated strong academic achievements, entrepreneurial skills, and lead advocacy efforts. This is why I would like to provide some updated information on the DRC, as well as future training opportunities for your colleagues and student employees.

Training Opportunities

As we strive to continue promoting a welcoming campus environment, we encourage students, faculty, and staff to enroll in our Dreamer Ally trainings.

On March 24th, we will be offering two opportunities for those who would like to become Dreamer allies.

Faculty and Staff are able to enroll through MyTraining on the Online HR Dreamer Ally Training from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. This is the direct link: https://mytraining.utsa.edu/online/mod/facetoface/view.php?id=877

For those students who are interested in learning more about the experiences of Dreamer and undocumented students and resources available for them, they can join our Student Dreamer Ally training from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Multicultural Student Lounge, HSU 2.207. They can RSVP utilizing RowdyLink: https://rowdylink.utsa.edu/event/7969964. Pizza and beverages will also be provided for this event.

We encourage you to share these two events with any student, faculty, and/or staff who is interested in becoming a Dreamer Ally.

Dreamers Resource Center Info

In the upcoming weeks we will be sending a small token to appreciation to all of our Dreamer allies. In the meantime, attached to this email you will find a flyer to our office, which includes our updated location and phone number.

If you utilize social media, feel free to follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook through @UTSADreamers.

Once again, thank you very much for your support! I look forward to continue our university-wide collaborations in order to continue supporting our Dreamers and undocumented students.

Sincerely,
