Thank you so much, Monica! It feels so good to be one class away from achieving my lifelong dream of attaining my Bachelor’s degree. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected
as the recipient of The 2015-2016 Staff Council Scholarship Award.
It was also really nice to see everyone at the Staff Council Committee Meeting this morning and I want to thank everyone on the committee for thinking of me and for all the decisions you all
make each year in helping students financially, not just with scholarships but with the implementation of the Educational Benefit Program; that program alone has helped me and so many other employees here at UTSA.
When the Staff Council voted on more than 6 credit hours per year and because of this increase, it really helped me in completing my degree a little sooner and without the financial burden,
which I really appreciate as well!
The Staff Council is very important to UTSA and thank you again for choosing me for this scholarship,
