Good afternoon advising team,

We have received a ruling form Office of General Council and have been working through details, revising forms and vetting things through.  I hope to provide some final information to you by the end of next week.

Subject: [Advising] Excess Hours Waivers
Importance: High

Advising team,

We had a meeting this afternoon with our legal office regarding the excess hour waivers. Unfortunately the moratorium on waiving excess hours (30/45 hour petitions or C2G) will remain in effect until they receive a ruling from Office of General Council.

They are well aware of the challenge and awkward situation it is putting you in if the student wants to petition.  As soon as I receive an update I will send an update.
Thank you for your patience.

Good morning,

The policy regarding Excess Hour Waivers options available to institutions is being reviewed.  Please hold off on processing any additional 30/45 hour petitions and Contracts to Graduate (C2G).  If you have a student coming in to do the petition or C2G let them know that the process is on hold and that you will get back to them once we have an update.

There is a meeting tomorrow afternoon so I’m hopeful a decision can be rendered rather quickly.

Thanks everyone!

Barbara
