BUENA VISTA LANE CLOSURE

Buena Vista Lane Closure:

Effective July 31, 2019 thru August 28, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
The contractor will intermittently close the left lanes on Buena Vista (Leona Street to Pecos Street) and Pecos Street at the intersection to construct new sidewalks, curbs and illumination poles.
Two lanes of traffic will remain open for motorists.

AUGUST 2019 ACTIVITIES:

Northside Buena Vista (S. Frio to S. Leona): Base material formed for sidewalk and wheel chair ramp.

Northside Buena Vista (S. Leona to N. Pecos): Base material formed for sidewalk. Concrete footings for pedestrian lighting formed and poured. Preparing new parking spaces adjacent to Cattleman's parking lot. Electrical conduit installed at the northwest corner of N. Pecos and connecting to the northeast corner of N. Pecos.

Northside Buena Vista (Under IH35): Curb excavation and brick paver removal. Electrical conduit for pedestrian lighting installed.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR THE NEXT 3+ WEEKS:

Northside Buena Vista (S. Frio to S. Leona): Form and pour concrete curb, sidewalk, sidewalk drain and wheel chair ramp.
Northside Buena Vista (S. Leona to N. Pecos): Curb excavation. Form and pour concrete curb, sidewalk and wheel chair ramp. Form new parking spaces adjacent to Cattleman's parking lot. Electrical conduit connection at northwest corner of N. Pecos.
Northside Buena Vista (Under IH35): Curb forming. Install brick pavers by new curb.
Please note: Crews will have traffic control devices adjacent to areas they will be working at. Please slow down at these areas while work is underway.

PROJECT SCOPE:

Improve pedestrian connectivity on Buena Vista between Frio and Santa Rosa. Aesthetic and lighting enhancements will be added as appropriate and within available funding.
Install HAWK signal at Buena Vista & S. Leona St.
