It is our pleasure to announce our two new Customer Support Supervisors on the Academic Advising team! Carlos and Alejandro joined our team on Monday, August 16th
and have been attending in-depth training with Advising Administration. Carlos and Alejandro will help support the operations of the Student Support Center.

Meet
Alejandro Melendez (SSC Reception Lobby Operations)
Alejandro recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University. He was born and raised in El Paso, TX and
has a “high passion” for baseball. He is also a part of the Marine Corps Reserve where he has served for four years. A fun fact about Alejandro, his first job was as a balloon artist so he might know how to make some balloon animals. Alejandro recently mentioned
that he already enjoys working with everyone at UTSA and “it really has made a lasting impression already”. He looks forward to getting to know everyone that is a part of UTSA Advising. You can post a welcome message to Alejandro using this link:

Carlos Sanchez (Call Center Operations)
Carlos has worked in higher education for several years and joins us from Texas A&M San Antonio. He enjoys watching and
playing sports, and helps coach his daughter’s select softball team. A fun fact about Carlos, he has taken a ride on a wild bull! Carlos is looking forward to being a part of the Advising team and hopes his previous experience helps him make the transition
