Olga:

Is it possible for Jimmy & Barbara to have a passover code for the freshman orientation students that we can enter when we see them so they don’t get the OA hold? Just like the 45H & 90H passover codes.

Subject: [Advising] Reminder

Good morning all,

Just a couple of quick reminders as you are working with your students:

Ø  Since the stand alone section of AIS 1203 are full, except for the 901 section downtown, students will need to be registered for the UPM 1000 and be sure to put the FYE comment in SPACMNT with the appropriate number

Ø  All incoming FR/FT are supposed to have an OA (Orientation Advising) hold on their record that should not be removed until the student has met with their assigned advisor.  Unfortunately, there has been a delay in getting those holds on the students records.  When they are added to the students record, those that have not gone through orientation,  an email notification will be sent out to everyone. The hold would need to be removed when you meet with them before they register

Ø  A students assigned academic advisor is responsible for advising the student with regards to their minor requirements if the student has opted to declare/complete a minor.  Please be aware that there are some minors that are not available to all students, for example some minors in COB.  I have attached a word doc that provides this information for COB which is also located on the I:\AcademicAdvising\COB folder
