HONORS COLLEGE COMMUNIQUE: July 2021

Hello from the Honors College! In partnership with Academic Advising, we are sending a monthly Honors College Communique on the Advising listserv, in which we will send short updates about:  

1.      Honors opportunities open to all students

2.      A highlighted benefit of being an Honors College member

3.      A student highlight from your advising areas

Honors Opportunities for All Students: Honors has seats available in some really cool, interdisciplinary, upper-level seminars! Non-Honors students with 3.3 GPAs or higher can take Honors courses. It’s a simple process of filling out this form and submitting it to honors@utsa.edu.

·       HON 3233.003 Writing on Walls: Identity and Power Through the Walls of San Antonio (Face-to-Face; TR 10:00-11:15pm; Instructor: Dr. F. Matos)

·       HON 3253.003 Decision-Making in the Modern World: No! You Did it Wrong, Again! (Face-to-Face; TR 2:30-3:45pm; Instructor: Dr. A. Cassill)

 

Highlighted Benefit for Honors College Members:

Honors College students can opt to live with each other and scholars from other university programs in the new UTSA residential building, Guadalupe Hall. A built-in community of diverse scholar students, Guadalupe Hall will offer social, professional development, and academic events throughout the school year. Living in Guadalupe will be a great way for first students to get to know each other!
