Good morning – I thought we agreed that students would call the STS line first and then be sent to Advising in the MS building if necessary. The way this reads it encourages students to just show up. Did I miss something?

Subject: [Advising] Auto reply email and phone

Good morning everyone,

Below is  auto reply message that I’d like everyone to add to their email so students, staff and faculty are receiving the same message.

Also below is the message that should be added to the front desk voicemails.

Special thanks to Dainon, Julie and Margaret for the help with the messages.

Thanks everyone!

Barbara

Hello,

UTSA Academic Advising is currently undergoing a restructuring.    Between Wednesday, May 14, 2014 and Monday, May 26, 2014, there will be limited advising services due to moves as a result of the restructuring and the university holiday.  If you need advising assistance, please call Undergraduate Studies Support Services at (210) 458-4302 or (210) 458-6516.  To visit with an academic advisor in person you may go to MS 4.01.76 Monday-Thursday 8:30-5:30 and Friday 8:30-4:30.  Please be aware that these advisors will have limited access to student records and information.

More information can be found on the new Advising Centers' website at https://utsa.edu/advise/index.html.  You can also log onto ASAP to find the name of your assigned academic advisor.

Advisors will have limited access to email during this time and may not be able to respond in the usual timely manner.

All Advising Centers will officially begin operating under their new structure beginning May 27, 2014.

Thank you for your patience during this transition.
