Subject: 2017 Advisor Appreciation Awards Nominations
Hello Everyone,
Attached you will find the nomination forms for the 5 awards that will be announced at our All-Advisor Appreciation Event in December. All of the forms are fillable word documents that allow you to save
changes to the gray fields. To determine the length of service for the award (i.e. less than 2 years, etc) use the Advisor Appreciation date of 12/15/17. The five awards are:
·
Most Valuable Staff Member: given to honor a staff member who has been here for
1 year or more for their leadership, extraordinary initiative, and overall excellence.
·
Innovative Advising Award:
given to recognize an advisor who has shown creative and/or unique uses of technology or innovative advising strategies.
·
George Bergquist Award: given to honor an advisor that exemplifies the values that George Bergquist modeled daily in both his work and life. Some of the traits
that this award honors are: Optimistic, Student-centered, Kindness, Positivity, Dedicated, Fun-loving, and Motivating.
All nominations will be submitted to the ballot box located in the USSTS Office (MS 2.02.18Y). They will then be edited to exclude any names (to prevent
bias) and sent to a panel usually consisting of one Academic Affairs representative, one Student Affairs representative, and one Business Affairs representative who determine the winners.
Nominations for the George Bergquist award will be forwarded to the AAC.
In the event that an AAC representative is nominated for this award, they will not be a part of the review and voting process.
To see a list of past recipients please visit our website: http://www.utsa.edu/aac/awards.html.
All nominations are due by Tuesday, Oct. 31st @ 5:00 PM.
As always, feel free to contact the AAC with any questions.
