45- and 90-hour holds will be set on students tomorrow, and when they’re set, students will automatically have a flag set in EARN, and they will also receive an email from EARN informing them that they have a hold and that they’ll need to meet with their advisors to resolve the hold before they can register.  Once students meet with you and you remove the hold in Banner, putting the 45H or 90H code, in SPACMNT, EARN will automatically lower the flag on the student (not immediately, but overnight).

If you want to see a list of your students who have these holds, following these instructions:

1.       Enter EARN through Blackboard

2.       Click on Students/My Students

3.       Make sure Connection is Assigned Advisor (not Academic Advisor or anything else)

4.       Click on Add Filters on the right

5.       Select Tracking Items, Students with Tracking Items, Tracking Type: Flag, Item Name: 45-Hour Hold (or 90-Hour Hold)

6.       Click Submit

I’ve also put these instructions on the Advising Internal website: http://www.utsa.edu/advise/internal/
