Greetings,

Please make notes that the ECO 2023 – Micro-Economics is going to be the pre-requisite for the ECO 2013 – Macro-Economics beginning Fall of 2016 for the (2016-2017) catalog.

The new Department Chair explained that students do not do well in ECO 2013 without the ECO 2023 class taken first due to the content covered in ECO 2023. Students need to understand the supply and demand curve which is taught in ECO 2023-Micro-Economics to do well in ECO 2013 – Macro-economics.

The 4 year semester plans are being updated in the catalog and of course the pre-requisite will be enforced across all catalogs.

This is about student success for our students taking Economics courses.

I hope this is helpful. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
