Dear colleagues,
Greetings from the Study Abroad Office!
UTSA has collaborated with Academic Programs International (API) and International Studies Abroad (ISA) to offer new programs for first year students to study abroad in the summer in Costa Rica, Greece, or Spain. Students can earn 3-6 credit
hours in just 4-5 weeks!
These programs are open to all students but were specifically curated for first year students to help them complete core curriculum or free elective courses while gaining global experience, intercultural communication skills, and building
their resumes. One of the Costa Rica options includes a project-based internship to help students gain hands-on experience.
These new programs offer more opportunities to students and align with UTSA’s goal to have at least 75% of our students participate in experiential learning before graduation.
I have attached our flyers to this email and here is the webpage:

Can you please help us with spreading the word about these opportunities to your students through email, social media, word of mouth, etc? Any questions can be directed to me at

We appreciate your support!
Thank you,
Megan Avellana, M.A.
