Honors Opportunities
for All UTSA Students:
Each semester, students who aren't in the Honors College have the opportunity to take Honors College courses. The courses below are our Fall 2022 offerings - some are Honors sections
of major courses with smaller class sizes and experiential learning and others are really cool, interdisciplinary, upper-level seminars! Non-Honors students with 3.3 GPAs or higher are eligible. It’s a simple process of filling out
this
form. Honors will take care of reviewing the form, enrolling the student, and notifying the student of enrollment within 5 business days of form submission.
Please share this opportunity with any of your students that might be interested!
Highlighted Benefit for Honors College Members:
2022 Trailblazing the National Parks!
From Texas to Wyoming from May 21 – June 12, 2022, Honors College students, Dr. Karen Engates, and Mr. Eliot Howard will investigate landscapes, histories,
and cultures of six national parks, two state parts, and one state natural area. Students will camp, hike, star gaze, and float down rivers, as they explore how their academic disciplines can help protect and further the mission of our national and state parks.
Student trailblazers will become certified in Wilderness First Aid, too. Check out pictures from the last Trailblazing trip and read more details
here.
Student Highlight: Fernando Cordova, Senior, major in Interdisciplinary Studies with EC-6 ESL certification in the College of Education and Human Development,
with a minor in Latin American Studies.
