Dear Advising Community,
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, in collaboration with the UTSA East Asia Institute, has a new minor in East Asian Studies in order to accommodate students with an interest in cultural, business, and political issues in the East Asian Area. The Minor in East Asian Studies provides students with an opportunity to develop awareness of a variety of disciplines, and to gain both conceptual and practical knowledge in East Asian culture, history, economy, and public affairs. The Minor will tie together the study of specific languages with relevant courses in other disciplines to form a coherent program for students interested in career options such as international business, teaching English abroad, and many others.
Here is the catalog link to the EAS minor: http://catalog.utsa.edu/undergraduate/liberalfinearts/modernlanguagesliteratures/#eastasianstudies
A pamphlet/flier will be coming soon. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a great day,
Anna
