Subject: [Advising] Allegra Castro Departure

Please join me in wishing Allegra Castro, Teacher Certification Specialist II, happiness and great success as she prepares for her new positon as Director of Field Experiences in the Teacher Educator Services office at the main campus. Allegra began her career in advising/teacher certification between 2001-2010 and returned to advising/teacher certification in 2013. She has participated in several events on and off campus including the UTSA Advising Conference and presented at NACADA Regional and National conferences.

Allegra has been an integral part in how we produce Texas certified teachers at UTSA. In her time in our office, she has helped certify over 10,000 students become certified public school teachers, principals, counselors, reading specialist and superintendents!

She will begin her new position with the Teacher Educator Services office on Monday July 25. Allegra will be missed in our office but she will never stop being our friend. Plus, she’s just going down the hall so we will be able to visit as much as we want ;)

Thank you Allegra, for all your years of service and dedication and we can’t wait to see what you do in your new position.
