Attached you will find the approved memo stating that quarter hours are allowed to satisfy a core requirement. DegreeWorks has been adjusted so requirements will show as complete with quarter hour courses.
Students still need to have 42 credits of core overall. The requirement that would need to be adjusted to reach 42 credits is Component Area Option. So, for example if a student has WRC 1013 and Language, Philosophy and Culture satisfied
with courses that are 2.66 credits, they will be short overall for core. Their CAO hours would need to be increased by .68 credits (.34*2). In these cases, please email
DegreeWorks@utsa.edu and we will take care of adjusting the hours for core.
Reminder: Email the DegreeWorks inbox if an exception is needed in the core.
