Dear All,

Please share attached courses with your students.  MAS courses are great for (upper division) free electives.

Thank you - Sylvia

Subject: MAS Low Enrollment Courses

Hello Sylvia,

I know this is an incredibly busy time of the semester with advising and registration.

I wanted to share flyers for some of our Spring 2023 MAS classes that have low enrollment. As you know, our program is working hard to enroll students in our intermediate and upper-division courses. We're mostly concerned about the following courses:

MAS 3063 Historical Legacies: Chicanas/xs/os in Education, with Dr. Sonya Alemán, which only has two students enrolled

MAS 4053 Special Topics: Mexican American labor, with Dr. José Villarreal, which only has two students enrolled

MAS 4053 Special Topics: MAS Fitness and Wellness, with Prof. Alessandra Sanchez, which only has two students enrolled

MAS 2053 MAS Corazon de San Antonio (Ensemble), with Dr. Rachel Cruz, which only has two students enrolled (perhaps music majors can take this as an elective)

I'm attaching flyers that you can share with our colleagues in the Office of Advising. Hopefully, they can print out / post and share with students.

We appreciate all of your efforts in encouraging students to enroll in our MAS classes!

Have a great mini-break,

Lilliana

Subject: MAS Spring 2023 flyers

Dear Sylvia,

I hope you're having a great semester.

I'd like to share flyers for our upcoming Spring 2023 classes. As you can see, we'll be offering our two core curriculum courses virtually and at both campuses. We'll also be offering two new special topics courses -- a Mexican American Labor course with Dr. José Villagran, and a MAS Fitness and Wellness course with Professor Alessandra Sánchez. We're also offering two courses for the MAS Music emphases -- a Latinx Music Production and Industry class and our MAS Corazon Practicum which have had low enrollment.

We would appreciate if you could share our flyers with your advisors so they can encourage students to take our classes.

Thanks so much for all of your support in sustaining MAS at UTSA, and please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

with much appreciation!
