Good morning,

There are now two sections of AIS 1203 added to the class schedule that are stand alone. Section 005 and 006 MWF from 1:00-1:50 and 3:00-3:50 respectively.

AIS 1203 0G5 is now AIS 1203 005 and max enrollment is set to 50.

AIS 1203 0I1 is now AIS 1203 006 and max enrollment is set to 50.

AIS 1203 0G6 and AIS 1203 0I2 are now canceled are will be removed/deleted from ASAP/Banner later today.

Sections:

WRC 1203 0G5 is now WRC 1203 027

WRC 1203 0G6 is now WRC 1203 028

WRC 1203 0I1 is now WRC 1203 029

WRC 1203 0I2 is now WRC 1203 030.

***Now, do all of these AIS/WRC sections retain the Banner semester Part of Term code “X”, which does not allow the student to drop? Or, should these sections be converted to Part of Term “1”, which allows student greater registration flexibility? Please advise.

I’ve be tied up on another project.

I’m working on removing the co-reqs between these sections now. Basically you’re stating you want to increase enrollment maximum sections on AIS 1203 0G5 and AIS 1203 0I1 to 50 and delete/cancel sections AIS 1203 0G6 and AIS 1203 0I2. Then, renumber these sections AIS and WRC sections so they do not imply that they are linked. Correct?

Gail,

We have been tracking the number of students attending orientation with credit for both WRC 1013 and 1023. This year’s rate of students with credit for both writing courses appears to be much higher than last year (this is quite surprising). With that being said, Barbara Smith has requested that additional AIS standalone sections be added to the schedule. The only way that I can do this at this point is to sever a few courses linked with WRC 1013. Would severing the following links negatively affect your program’s enrollment? In other words, do you feel that you have enough upper classmen to fill these sections below should they no longer be available to incoming freshmen?
