Subject: Giant Voice Mass Notification System - Semester Test (Friday, April 10, 1 - 5 pm, Main Campus Only)
UTSA Preparedness Partners,
The UTSA Office of Emergency Management will conduct an indoor-outdoor test of the Giant Voice mass notification system between
1 and 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at
the UTSA Main Campus. Most buildings are interfaced with the Giant Voice system, which will announce the following test message twice:
“Attention, attention, this is a test of the UTSA Giant Voice Emergency Notification System. This is only a test.” These tests are necessary to ensure full operability of campus warning systems.
The indoor test will last approximately 35 seconds, and
NO evacuations will be necessary. UTSA community members and visitors who are outdoors at the Main Campus will hear the same message. During the test, please listen for intelligibility of messages and report any audio issues to
BePrepared@utsa.edu.
Please distribute this message to everyone in your office suites. Many thanks for your continued partnerships!
