Meet Brandy Barksdale
Brandy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from UTSA. She
is also currently pursuing her PhD at Liberty University Online. She has worked for The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for almost 9 years and has over 13 years of experience in education. Her experience at UTSA began as an Administrative Associate
in the Philosophy department in February 2013. She joined Academic Advising as an Advisor I with Student Placement Advising (now Exploratory Programs) in 2014 and in September 2017, Brandy was one of two Senior Academic Program Advisors to build the Resilience
and Retention Advising Program. In addition to being the 2021-2022 Staff Senate Chair, she is excited to begin her new role as the Associate Director for Academic Advising for our Roadrunner community.
