COEHD Faculty and Staff:
It is with mixed emotions to announce that COEHD Development Director, Raitza Garcia, has accepted a position with UTSA’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement as the Development Director overseeing the Honors College and University College. She will be transitioning into her new role August 1st.
In her time with COEHD, she has been instrumental in acquiring significant funds and gifts for the college, which include a donation from Raise Your Hand Texas, a grant that established the Urban Education Institute. This was the largest gift in COEHD history. Also to her credit, she established the COEHD Advisory Board made up of community stakeholders, donors, and partners. All told, Raitza’s impact on the profile of the college has been considerable and she will be sorely missed.
It has been a pleasure working with Raitza during my tenure and I wish her all the best.
Please join me in congratulating Raitza and wishing her well on her new journey.
