Dear Colleagues, 

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Belinda Flores, Professor and Department Chairperson of BBL, to her new role within the COHED as Associate Dean for Professional Preparation, Assessment, and Accreditation.  Dr. Flores will  officially assume responsibilities on July 1, 2017. For the remainder of the Spring 2017 semester, Dr. Flores will work with Dr. Harmon, Janet Scott, and me on transition and planning. I am very  excited to fill this position.  Dr. Flores' depth of knowledge about  and experience in both ILT and BBL, her work with districts, community stakeholders, and the state, as well as  her recognition as a leader in the field will bring  expertise, understanding, and leadership to this position. 

I look forward to your continued and excellent work surrounding professional preparation and your  collaborative expertise as we develop our professional preparation programs  in a way that positions us as the leader in the state and nationally.
