Subject: [COEHD] Cash Handling Training
Importance: High
Dear Colleagues,
It has come to my attention that not all are up to date with the cash handling compliance training.
If you are a
Department Chair, Department Staff member, faculty member with a cost center, Center Director, center staff member, or other person who has a cost center assigned to them it is the policy that you are trained, and if you have been trained more than 5
years ago, it is time to take the course again since a great deal has changed.
In order to accept cash (or checks) and be in compliance with UTSA HOP procedures you have to have a cash handling procedure in place with Gary Lott.
Gary Lott requires the Departmental Cash Handling Request Form and the Departmental Cash Handling Security Policy Form with written procedures.
In addition, you need to have a keyed locked box to accept cash as well as a trained individual in cash handling (the course is AM
560).
Please register for the course:
Cash Handling 101(AM 560) training class. See the My Training link (http://training.utsa.edu/)
for more information, including registration.
Please be sure to complete this by the end of the Spring 2018 semester.
