Dear Colleagues,  

UTSA and the COEHD are excited to announce that we are in preliminary discussions with San Antonio ISD regarding a Senate Bill 1882 partnership in which UTSA, as the operating partner, would oversee three of SAISD’s premier Dual Language Academies:  Bonham Academy, Irving Dual Language Academy, and Travis Early College High School.  San Antonio ISD will submit a letter of intent to the Texas Education Agency; over the course of this school year, SAISD and UTSA will plan and submit an application for this partnership with UTSA as the operating partner of the schools. Our intent is to engage faculty and the community and others as we move forward in this process. This partnership would provide opportunities for educator and leadership development, and research; and will build on the already existing collaborations that UTSA maintains with SAISD.  A formal announcement will be made once SAISD submits the letter of intent.
