I am greatly saddened to announce that our colleague George Bergquist passed away Friday morning at his home in Boerne after his courageous fight with metastatic colon cancer.
We were very fortunate to have George in our team for the past 8 years. He genuinely cared for his students and co-workers and was our ‘motivator and cheerleader’ during challenging times. He initiated our caroling visits to various offices
across campus and wrote the lyrics to ‘COEHD Advising is here, to bring you some cheer……” George brought peace and harmony to all who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him.
A graveside service for family and friends will be 11:00 AM at Mission Park South, Wednesday, May 14, 2014. A memorial service will follow that afternoon at 4:00 PM at St. John
Lutheran Church in Boerne. To leave condolences for the family, please visit

Our Center will be closed Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 to attend the memorial service.
