Thank you for sharing Claudia. This is heart wrenching, I’ve spent some time with this student. She was a student in my classes. I mentored her for Project Pathways, she was so proud of her research that focused on her siblings’ language brokering. I wrote her letters of recommendation when she went out in the market. She always talked about setting an example for her younger siblings. I know she is a rock in her family so she must be going through a lot. We are keeping her and her family in our thoughts.

One of our former BBL students, and recent COEHD graduate has suffered a tremendous loss. In short, her mother was murdered and has left her and 3 younger siblings on their own. Yuliza Villa Jaimes went through our Residency program. She was my student in 4 of my Methods courses and Mrs. Grace Trevino was her CT Supervisor. We have reached out to her. She is distraught. All she asks for at this time is for "Go Fund Me" support for her and her siblings, as well as continuous prayers. Below you will find both the link to the Go Fund Me page and the news story.
