They would like to request your assistance in promoting aggressively in your college. The workshops have many opened seats and are scheduled in short sessions to accommodate faculty schedules. Proposal Development Workshop Series
Monday, April 13 – Tuesday, April 14
8:30 A.M. – 2:30 P.M. each day
UTSA Main Campus, John Peace Library, Assembly Room (JPL 4.04.22)
Description: Faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, and students of all disciplines are invited to attend one or all of a series of short workshops focused on different funding opportunities and agencies. The guest facilitator will provide half-hour individual consultations for faculty. To register for a session and/or schedule an individual consultation, use the link(s) below for the session(s) of interest.
Facilitator: Ms. Deckard worked in research development at Texas A&M University for 8 years, most recently serving as Associate Director of the university’s Office of Proposal Development. She has helped to develop and write successful proposals to NSF, NIH, the Department of Education, the Department of Defense, and other agencies and foundations, including proposals for large institutional and center-level grants. In addition, she directed the university’s New Faculty Initiative, working with new faculty to jump start their research by helping them to identify funding opportunities, develop a strategy for pursuing funding, understand funding agencies, and learn how to write competitive proposals.
