As you may know, UTSA is hosting a week-long series of events (April 2-7
http://provost.utsa.edu/first-gen/ ) to promote and deepen our knowledge of first-gen students.
UTSA’s current undergraduate population is comprised of 46% first-gen* college students (*neither parent/guardian has completed a 4-year degree).
On Friday, April 6, in the Denman Room (Student Union 2.01.28), there will be a
free, one-day institute for UTSA faculty and staff, focused on our first-gen student population to dialogue and deepen our understanding of both the strengths and challenges first-gens face.
