The UTSA Women's Studies Institute officially kicked off Women's History Month 2019 at the Opening Program and Reception on Tuesday, March 5. The program featured keynote speaker Rebecca Flores and included remarks from Dr. Sonia Saldivar-Hull, and director of the institute, Dr. Myron Anderson, vice president for Inclusive Excellence. The event also honored Margaret Richardson as the 2019 Women's Advocate of the Year and Erica Alcocer as the recipient of the Linda J. Rasmussen Memorial Scholarship in Women's Studies.
