Virtual Educator Career Expo Connects Future Teachers to Potential Employers

Clinical teachers will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from school districts from the city, state, and country at the 2021 virtual Educator Career Expo on Wednesday, March 31.

 

 

 

Three Faculty Members Promoted to Full Professor

The Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching Department is pleased to announce the promotion of three faculty members to the position of professor. Associate Professors María Arreguín, Emily Bonner, and Timothy Yuen will begin the fall semester as “full” professors.

 

 

 

COEHD Professor Wins Awards Nationally, Acclaim Locally

With her identities as laborer and community organizer, immigration activist and scholar, mother and mentor, Professor Claudia García-Louis is garnering national attention for her research, as well as her devotion to the communities she serves and the students she guides.

UTSA recognized nationally for contributing to greater teacher diversity


UTSA’s undergraduate and graduate elementary teacher preparation programs have been named among the top in the country for contributing to greater teacher diversity by the National Council on Teacher Quality, a nonpartisan, not-for-profit research and policy organization.

 

 

Federal program expands work-study support at UTSA


UTSA is one of 190 institutions selected by the U.S. Department of Education to participate in a new program that allows them to pay work-study–eligible students for off-campus work experience.
