Hello everyone, I offer extra credit if my students include the signed form that shows they went to the writing lab with their research papers.  The workshops count too.  Carolyn

I really urge faculty to refer students to these workshops—we often talk about the need for our graduate students to improve their writing—particularly when it comes to the dissertation!  Unless students understand that they have a need for such things, they are often completely shocked when we require them to do multiple edits on their work.  These workshops could save everyone a great deal of time and effort!

Thanks,
Betty
