Dear COEHD Colleagues,

Last year my undergraduates participated in the Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry Showcase.

It was a fabulous opportunity for them!

I encourage you to invite students to participate as presenters or even to attend as an observer.  The Showcase

includes research from across the entire University and is a panoramic view of what is transpiring at UTSA as

we become a Tier I Research Institution and a model for the country.

It also helps our undergraduates understand what research is about and why it matters.

Please let me know if I can help. This is a way of also showcasing the ongoing research in our College.

The 2015 Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry Showcase Is Coming

This annual event will showcase hundreds of undergraduate student research and creative endeavors from across campus. The event is meant to increase visibility of and participation in undergraduate scholarly endeavors across all areas of academic inquiry. Such scholarly experiences enhance learning by complementing classroom-based instruction, provide real-life, hands-on experience in student’s field of interest, and offer development of critical and independent thinking, creativity, and problem solving.

The UTSA Career Center is helping with a resume review booth as well as organizing a "reverse job fair" where industry and business members will peruse the posters for possible hires.

If you know of an undergraduate student performing research or is working on a creative endeavor in any area of study, forward them this email and encourage them to participate!
