Juliet Langman named interim dean of College of Education and Human Development

Andrews Espy today announced the appointment of Juliet Langman as interim dean of UTSA’s College of Education and Human Development, effective January 1, 2021, while a
national search for a permanent dean is conducted.
During a year of social unrest, Karla Broadus, Senior Lecturer and Project Coordinator for African American Studies
remained a constant voice within the UTSA and San Antonio communities. Her efforts are being recognized through a nomination into the Blackbook Directory and Yearbook as a 2019-2020 Blackbook Classmate.
Dr. Sidury Christiansen Selected by U.S. Department of State to Help Develop Nationwide Writing Network in Brazil
The U.S. Department of State announced the selection of Dr. Christiansen of the
University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for an English Language Specialist project focusing on developing a nationwide writing center network in Brazil at the Federal University of Paraná.

UTSA and the Alamo Colleges District are partnering for a new co-enrollment program, the Transfer Academy for Future
Teachers, which will enroll its first students in fall 2021. This innovative program allows the Alamo Colleges’ students co-enrollment for two years at both institutions.
