UTSA wins millions to increase college access in the region

TRiO Educational Talent Search (ETS) projects within the UTSA College of Education and Human Development (COEHD) secured over $5 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Education to improve college attainment in targeted middle and high school students over the next five years.

COEHD professor awarded Lutcher Brown Fellowship

The timing of the fellowship was serendipitous for Henderson. “The fellowship is also hitting at a perfect time in my career,” she said. “This provides me the momentum to do my next ambitious project, which is really making a meaningful impact in our local schools through our community partners.”

COEHD professor awarded Cloud Technology Endowed Fellowship

Leslie Neely, Ph.D., is no stranger to securing funds for her wide-ranging research interests. Since 2015, she says she has been awarded nearly $2 million in competitive research funds. Most recently Neely, an associate professor of educational psychology and the director of the Child and Adolescent Policy and Research Institute (CAPRI) has been selected as to receive this year’s Cloud Technology Endowed Fellowship.
